What is WIC?
WIC is the organization in the church that stands for “Women in the Church.” WIC of Young Meadows Presbyterian Church is also part of the Southeast Alabama Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of America.
What is the Purpose of the WIC?
The purpose of the WIC is to enable the individual woman to know Christ as her Savior and Lord and grow spiritually. She will more effectively establish Christ’s kingdom in her home, her church, and her community. In doing this, each woman’s life will glorify God more fully, and she will enjoy Him forever.
Who are the members of WIC?
The membership of WIC of YMPC consists of every woman who is a member of the church.
Who governs the WIC?
WIC is under the authority of the Session of YMPC.
How can I get involved in WIC of YMPC?
There are many opportunities for every woman in the church to be involved in WIC:
Christian Growth
Leading, hosting, and participating in a women’s Bible study
Mercy
Condolence cooking and serving
Preparing food
Delivering food to members in need
Visiting Shut-ins
Special Events
Setting up/Cleaning up for Events
Publicizing for Events
