To Young Meadows, and invite you to join us for Sunday school and other activities throughout the week. If you would like to know more about the life of Young Meadows Church, our greeters will assist you with information and take you to worship services and Sunday school.

Officer Elections

The Officers Class of 2022 will be elected Sunday, Aug. 4, in a Called Congregational Meeting. The new officers will be ordained and installed the following Sunday, Aug. 11. Legacy Women’s Council will be elected Aug. 4 as well.

Ladies Discipleship Classes

Mondays, 10:30 a.m., and Tuesdays, 6:00 p.m., through July 22 and 23, in the conference room. Contact Alex Kocher, 657-8767 or

Estampe Trio

Will perform a concert entitled Desiring His Presence, Monday, July 1, 7:00 p.m., in the Sanctuary. This Korean trio, playing violin, cello, and piano, will perform works by Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Halvorsen, and Schoenfield. Contact Michael Wutzke, 244-1385 or

Chaplain for American Heritage Girls

A chaplain is needed to serve as spiritual advisor for this group of girls. This is a volunteer position for someone willing to serve in this capacity. American Heritage Girls is a character development program for girls ages 8-15, and the group meets weekly at YMPC on Thursdays, 6:00 p.m., during the school year. Contact Jay Joye, 652-1316 or

Children’s Ministry

Stepping Stones

Memory work will be checked today, 10:15 a.m., in the Children’s Hallway. Bring your books! Checkers are Fern Smith and Kelli Strowd.

Hope Heals Camps

Our Rooftop Friends Disabilities Ministry — in conjunction with Katherine and Jay Wolf — participates in a family-friendly summer camp. This year’s camps will be July 15-19 and 22-26 at Camp McDowell in Nauvoo. These camps offer an outdoor camp experience for those with disabilities and a period of respite for their families through the help of caring volunteers. Contact Hope Cassidy, 546-7221 or

Pardon Our Progress

Throughout the summer, some refurbishing projects will begin with a new awning at the office door, changes in children’s and adult wings, and other building and grounds repairs. Be patient! Improvements take time — the results will be worth waiting for!

Sanctuary Flowers

Donors are needed to provide flowers for Sunday worship in the Sanctuary. Flowers may be given as memorials or honoraria to family and friends. If you would provide flowers, please notify the church office at 244-1385 or email
