Prayer

Psalm 20:7 says, “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.”

We show our trust by repenting of our sin, by following Jesus, and through believing, biblical, and bold prayer. When the psalmist says "We will remember the name of the Lord our God," he is saying that we will pray to God, wait on God, and trust God to provide all that we need.

With the disciples we pray, “Lord, teach us to pray” (Luke 11:1). It is our goal and dream to help our members pray kingdom-focused prayers. While we desire our prayers to be simple and child-like, we also pray that our prayers are the Spirit-led, loving response of God’s children to their heavenly Father through the person and work of Jesus Christ our Lord. We pray that we will help build the kingdom of God and remove the kingdom of evil.

Our prayer initiative includes:

  • Email prayer chain
  • Wednesday night prayer group,
  • Prayer and fasting relay teams,
  • A regularly updated weekly prayer guide, and
  • Prayer emphasis throughout the various ministries of our church and beyond
